Together we build a safer and more sustainable world

This Saturday 25 years ago is the date when the Memorandum of Association of DA-Design Oy was signed, on May 16^th, 1995. Established by four students, DA-Design has since grown from a small engineering firm to DA-Group corporation, a well-recognized provider of complex and integrated systems and products.

One of the key insights gained along the years is the benefit of being able to manage and produce most aspects of demanding customer deliveries. DA-Group is the technology partner that carries the overall responsibility on behalf of the client and for the client. The service portfolio covers the whole supply chain from initial problem solving to design and product development, as well as from manufacturing to testing and after sales services. 

The four young students had a desire to do something productive to support the studies. Today, two of the founding members continue working in the management and ownership of the company – Sami Kotiniemi, Chief Executive Officer and Kari Vainio, Chief Information and Security Officer. 

In Finland, there is a saying that the “First Quarter” of a privately owned entrepreneurship is twenty-five years. During its first quarter of the centennial, DA-Design has developed into a consolidated technology company via organic growth and acquisitions. Currently, DA-Group employs over 120 professionals. The headquarters are located in Forssa with offices in Helsinki, Oulu, Tampere and Turku.

DA-Group is a supplier of advanced electronics and high technology solutions and products used in demanding environments from seabed to space. The strive is to be a self-sufficient and continually renewing, holistic provider with state-of-the-art expertise. 

Due to the coronavirus situation, DA-Group will postpone its activities to commemorate the 25th anniversary. In any event, we will focus on a brighter future – and together we can make it happen. We at DA-Group hope to see you soon!
